Maintenance Technician - Plumbing Bias

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician who will support high‑quality service delivery within a healthcare environment at Mitie in Coventry. The role involves maintaining statutory compliance, driving improvement, and ensuring hygiene standards. Roles and Responsibilities Ensure service delivery maintains statutory, mandatory and routine compliance. Drive continual improvement through efficiency, added value and best‑in‑class delivery. Contribute to account performance across revenue, profit and cash. Build and maintain open relationships with stakeholders within the Trust and SPV. Collaborate with Mitie stakeholders and delivery partners. Main Duties Undertake plumbing maintenance and reactive tasks in a healthcare environment, including mechanical planned and preventive maintenance. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation where safety and hygiene are critical. Develop and enforce water hygiene guidance, policies and procedures in line with regulations. Conduct inspections of facilities, equipment and workspaces to identify hygiene risks. Follow established safety, hygiene and environmental guidelines. Recommend and implement improvements to strengthen water hygiene standards. Escalate any issues with reactive jobs or PPMs to the supervisor for rectification. Required Qualifications and Experience Basic to intermediate IT skills. Initiative‑taking and motivation to achieve excellence in a healthcare setting. Experience in acute healthcare premises (helpful but not essential). Strong adherence to Health & Safety policies and permit‑to‑work systems. Ability to communicate, coordinate tasks and deliver high standards of customer care. Plumbing and mechanical experience required, with onsite training available.
