Student Music Librarian/Technician

The Student Music Librarian/Technician will provide clerical assistance for the Music Program and provide upkeep in the Music Library (librarian duties) and is responsible for setup of audio equipment, maintenance, and general organization of the library, rehearsal, and studio spaces (technician duties).

Reports To: Faculty Coordinator of Music

What position(s) reports to this position? None

Minimum Education/Experience: Current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours for the Fall or Spring semester or enrolled in a minimum of 3 hours for the Summer semester OR Current OCCC student with a Federal Work Study award.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Sedentary work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. This position requires the person to frequently move about the classroom to perform the essential functions of the position. This position requires the person to frequently communicate with students, faculty, and staff to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations. This position requires the person to operate a computer, other office machinery and mobile devices to prepare, edit, or copy documents. This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations. This position performs the essential functions in an indoor classroom or office setting.
