Journeyman Plumber

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose plumbing issues independently and perform repairs efficiently.
• Inspect and test plumbing systems to ensure safety, functionality, and code compliance.
• Read blueprints and drawings to understand and plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal, and water supply systems.
• Cut, assemble, and install plumbing lines while working safely around existing infrastructure, including electrical wiring.
• Install, maintain, and repair water supply systems.
• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines, including leaks.
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, and related plumbing issues.
• Repair or replace domestic fixtures and appliances, including faucets and water heaters.
• Install and maintain waste disposal and sanitary systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Respond to customer inquiries and service dispatches in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare quotes and present estimates directly to customers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Plumber’s License.
• Multi-family plumbing experience required.
• Strong understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• Ability to safely and effectively use plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, and related tools.
• Must provide and maintain your own hand tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent critical-thinking and diagnostic skills.
• Friendly, professional, and patient demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Must be in good physical condition with the strength and mobility required to work in tight or awkward spaces.
• Ability to lift and carry 80 pounds or more.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in various positions for extended periods.
