Job Description

· Collaborate with investment and data analysts to create detailed ESG reports for clients, focusing on the environmental aspects of their investment projects, particularly in the clean energy and battery technology sectors.

· Gather, clean, and analyze environmental data, including carbon emissions, energy usage, water management, and waste management metrics, using tools such as ArcGIS, Python, R, or MATLAB.

· Conduct thorough Environmental Risk Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for clients' investment projects, focusing on factors such as carbon emissions, resource usage, pollution levels, and regulatory compliance. Utilize statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

· Participate in ESG investment evaluations, focusing on environmental factors such as carbon emissions, water usage, waste management, pollution control, and biodiversity impact. Utilize tools like MSCI ESG, Sustainalytics, or Refinitiv, along with methods such as Substance Flow Analysis (SFA), Benefit-Cost Analysis, and Material Flow Analysis (MFA).

· Analyze companies' environmental data and its correlation with corporate governance and social responsibility practices to generate ESG scores.

· Provide clients with recommendations for sustainable investment strategies by analyzing environmental performance data and identifying opportunities for improvement. Work closely with financial analysts to develop investment strategies that meet ESG criteria.

· Monitor and interpret changes in environmental policies, regulations, and standards. Assess their impact on clients' investment projects and provide compliance advice to ensure adherence to legal standards and support ESG goals.

· Prepare comprehensive ESG reports for clients, detailing the environmental performance of their investment projects. Ensure the reports align with industry standards and offer actionable insights to guide their investment decisions, highlighting how ESG scores can be used to assess a company's sustainability and ethical performance.

Minimum Requirements:

· Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field; (foreign degree accepted);

· 6 months of experience in environmental data analysis;

· Proficiency in data analysis tools, e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, and ArcGIS.

· Knowledge of ESG frameworks (e.g., MSCI ESG, Sustainalytics) and environmental assessment methodologies (e.g., EIA, LCA).

· Exposure to conducting statistical/machine learning analysis on environmental data.
