Medical Assistant Certified

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) provides clinical support in a fast-paced family medicine outpatient setting. The role involves assisting providers with patient care, performing clinical tasks, and supporting efficient clinic operations across multiple locations. The MA-C collaborates closely with clinicians and team members to ensure high-quality patient care and smooth workflow. This is a temporary to hire position requiring local candidates within a 30-mile radius of the clinic. Responsibilities:

• Assist clinicians with patient examinations and procedures in a family medicine clinic.
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients, and collecting specimens.
• Support patient flow and clinic operations through efficient coordination and communication.
• Float between Downtown Seattle and Central Seattle clinics as needed to cover staffing requirements.
• Collaborate with providers and clinic staff in a team-based environment to manage patient care and breaks.
• Maintain compliance with clinic policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality standards.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) credential is mandatory.
• At least 6 months experience as an MA-C in a Family Medicine, Adult, Pediatric, or Internal Medicine outpatient setting.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Local residency within a 30-mile radius of the clinic location.
• Willingness and ability to float between clinic locations as needed.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in Internal Medicine outpatient settings is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience working in a team-based clinical care model.

Special Considerations:

• This is a temporary to hire position; candidates must be willing to join the clinic permanently if offered.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• Floating between two clinic locations is required based on staffing needs.
• Dependability is critical given the local candidate requirement and clinic location coverage.

Scheduling:

• Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 5 days a week.
• No weekend shifts are required.
• Shift assignments may vary between two clinic locations depending on staffing.
