QUALITY SUPERVISOR II

Essential Functions:Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by exampleEnsure product quality meets internal and external specifications.Maintain and operate equipment following procedures and best practices as defined in the control planConduct process and product audits according to the work instructionsLead change-over following proper set-up procedure according to work instructionsTurn around any set asides and hold activity in a timely mannerCommunicate concerns, improvements and general information to the line leaderTroubleshooting and problem solving of manufacturing problems in the operations.Provide support to the process improver and line leader in pursuit of continuous improvement.Fulfill assignments/tasks given by line leader.Actively participate in area problem solving teams and other groups as necessary to achieve production goals.Check inventories and schedule. Plans and communicates production needs to the team leaders to ensure all production requirements are met and insure a good pass down before each shift.Troubleshooting / problem solving manufacturing problems in the CBG / Furnace operations.Provide training and guidance/direction to team members according to procedures and best practices to achieve short and long-term goals.Coordinate 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness.Audit employee time records using Kronos and correct as needed.Administer progressive discipline as needed in compliance with the facility work rules and labor agreement.Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and PrinciplesOther duties as assigned by managerScope/Dimensions:Manages a team of 15 – 25 Hourly Team Members in a Union EnvironmentMonday – Friday - DaysTop 3 Competencies Needed for Success in the Role: Passion for Excellence – Taking responsibility and ownership for achieving results and objectives while demonstrating a sense of urgency, drive and personal commitment.Innovation & Change – Open to change and actively interested in new developments, technology and emerging market trends while inspiring and generating innovative ideas and solution to enhance business results.Influential - Conveys information and ideas to others while building rapport and making a positive and credible impact thru active listening skills and taking interest in the views and ideas of others and ensures proposals address others’ needs and priorities.Qualifications Required:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing qualityDemonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Safety and goal oriented.Demonstrated leadership skills.Demonstrated personal computer skillsQualifications Desired: 3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing facilityAutomotive glass experienceJob SummaryRequisition Number: QUALI004326Job Category: Mfg OperationsSchedule: Full-Time
