Medical Support Specialist – Plasma Center Nurse BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd, operates plasma donation centers in the United States. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) provides medical support at the center under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. Key Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis. Evaluate and respond to donor reactions, following SOPs for medical emergencies and coordinating with Center Physician as needed. Inform donors of unsuitable test results and manage potential medical or technical issues with guidance from Medical Affairs. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and coordinate further evaluation with occupational health and EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized, supporting investigations and interventions related to pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or recognized nursing program graduate with state licensure. Licensed or certified EMT‑Paramedic in the state of assignment. Current CPR and AED certification. State‑compliant basic IV therapy certification. Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Minimum of two years clinical or hospital experience. Location USA – TX – Kyle Compensation Hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44, subject to qualifications and experience.
