Occupational TherapistHospital Acute - Loma Linda, CA 92354Salary Range $55.00 - $60.64 Hourly Job Shift AnyDescriptionJob Summary:The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing evidence-based occupational therapy interventions for infants, children, and young adults within Totally Kids (Acute, Subacute, Outpatient & Circlebrook).The Occupational Therapist collaborates closely with an interdisciplinary team—including physicians, nurses, physical and speech therapists, respiratory therapists, and case managers—to promote each patient's ability to participate in meaningful daily activities and maximize independence in self-care, play, and school-related tasks. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse pediatric population, including those with complex medical conditions, neuromuscular disorders, developmental delays, post-surgical needs, and traumatic injuries.It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the organization strategic plan, the goals and direction of the quality assurance performance improvement process, and activities.QualificationsRequirements:Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited programCurrent California Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) licenseCurrent CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association)Preferred:Minimum of one (1) year of pediatric occupational therapy experience in a pediatric, hospital or rehabilitation settingExperience working with ventilator-dependent, medically fragile, and technology-assisted pediatric populationsSkilled in splinting, feeding interventions, and adaptive equipment useFamiliarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systemsKnowledge/Skill:Solid understanding of pediatric development, sensory integration, and rehabilitation principlesKnowledge of CMS conditions of participation, CDPH state regulations, CCS, and TJC (hospital, nursing care center, and laboratory) accreditation requirements as applicable to jobWorking knowledge of computer and software applications as applicable to jobPossess strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skillsWorks responsibly in a team environment as well as independentlyManages confidential information effectively and appropriately
