Family Law Associate

A highly respected Texas family law firm is seeking a Family Law Attorney to join its Dallas office. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney who enjoys managing cases from inception through resolution while gaining substantial courtroom experience in a collaborative, high-performing environment. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of family law experience, a proven ability to independently manage cases from start to finish, and confidence representing clients in court. Responsibilities Manage a family law caseload from initial client consultation through settlement or trial. Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal briefs, and settlement agreements. Represent clients at temporary orders hearings, mediations, depositions, trials, and other court appearances. Develop case strategy and prepare matters for litigation and resolution. Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal arguments. Advise clients on complex family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, property division, and related issues. Negotiate settlements while advocating for clients' best interests. Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and strategic guidance throughout the legal process. Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to ensure efficient case management. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school required. Minimum of 3 years of family law experience required. Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases from inception through resolution. Prior courtroom experience, including temporary hearings and trials, strongly preferred. Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills. Base Salary: $150,000 - $160,000+ (higher compensation expectations will also be considered based on experience). Quarterly bonus program based on billable hour goals. Discretionary year-end bonus.
