This position is available to Virginia residents as Richmond or Lynchburg, VA hybrid in-office applicants or remote applicants residing in states/locations under Eastern or Central Standard Time: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas,  Vermont, Virginia, Washington DC, West Virginia or Wisconsin.

*Hybrid in-office would be required if you reside within 50 miles of our Richmond or Lynchburg, VA office. Required in-office days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

\n YOUR ROLE
\n As an IT team member, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing technology solutions that are the foundation of the world class customer service that our customers expect and deserve – now and in the future. \n

\n You will provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project. Develop program logic for new applications or analyze and modify logic in existing applications. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications. Analyze requirements, and maintains, tests and integrates application components. Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented.

\n What you will be doing
\n • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implementations
\n • Develop, maintain and release web related user interfaces and prepare systems design documentation by applying company, industry and governmental standards
\n • Create, develop and maintain systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and assisting in identifying design discrepancies using design tools
\n • Create navigation structures and information designs; construct prototypes, storyboards, and mockups to effectively communicate design to business analysts & Enterprise Architecture team to include developing a graphic design that effectively communicates the ideas being promoted by the requirements
\n • Perform user experience activities on projects as necessary
\n • Demonstrate technical leadership ability in AngularJS v1, HTML5, CSS3, and Communication with RESTful web services from JavaScript
\n • Perform code reviews and collaborate with peer designers / developers on project work
\n • Provide limited system support and maintenance for the existing systems in the Application Development Services area
\n • Guide and lead offshore development on projects as needed \n

\n What you bring
\n • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferred advance degree in relevant discipline
\n • 8 to 10 years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) discipline
\n • 5+ years of full systems development lifecycle experience building custom web applications using JavaScript, HTML
\n • 5+ years of technical experience in working with Java, Experience with OpenText Exstream, MySQL
\n • 5 to 7 years of experience defining and documenting business and technical requirements, developing and testing software for corporations (financial/insurance sector preferred)
\n • Must have experience in working with internal resources and be flexible to utilize an offshore delivery center operating in a time zone different from the primary work location
\n • Must have experience directing and supervising third-party suppliers in the fulfillment of Projects or application support
\n • Must have experience with establishing operational and process controls to measure and verify that established processes, procedures and audit controls are followed
\n • Experience required in monitoring and managing SLAs and exceeding customer expectations with large volumes of request
\n • Must have exceptional intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n • Progressive experience in information technology with emphasis in Software Development and Quality Assurance
\n • Knowledge and experience in software development methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile, prototyping, rapid application development

\n • Proven ability to work across multiple functional teams in the creation of an application development and support process
\n • Maintain an effective approach on problem solving, multi-tasking, coordinating and scheduling in accordance with the Project Plan to ensure visibility and predictability
\n • Monitor scope changes through the life of the software development cycle
\n • Resolve escalated technical issues
\n • Identify and interact with Business Relationship Management and Project Management Office to ensure their needs are being met by the project design
\n • Work with outside vendors on projects, establishing technical requirements and standards for outside product development
\n • Familiar with code management, defect management, ticket and project management tools
\n • Familiar with cloud technology, data management requirements
\n • Experience using open-source JavaScript libraries
\n • Strong process management & project management skills
\n • Ability to work collaboratively with all business functions and build strong business partnerships
\n • Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

\n

National Range: $96,700 - $145,000

\n

\n

Disclaimer: This role is aligned to a national market-based pay range. Actual compensation will vary based on geographic location, experience, skills, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in a bonus incentive plan. Incentive compensation is based on individual and company performance and is not guaranteed.
