Provide engineering expertise to support construction projects. Responsibilities Supervise and provide training for field crews. Cost tracking. Set up and maintain standard project files, general correspondence, subcontractor agreements, and timesheets. Distribute correspondence and coordinate project payables and receivables with accounting department and maintain other accounts; assist with project closeout. Comply with procedures as outlined in the construction manual; develop and maintain positive and effective working relationship with owners, subcontractors, and crews. Prepare and review project design documents, including engineering drawings and specifications, to ensure compliance with project requirements and local codes and regulations. Ensure that project documentation, such as drawings, specifications, and contracts, is up-to-date and organized. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that work is being completed to the required quality standards. Implement assigned duties with an exceptional level of accuracy, timeliness, and cost effectiveness; assist in managing project schedules. Prepare change order requests and maintain change order documents, files, logs. Track equipment time, timecard coding; maintain field logs and quantity tracking for work performed. Track RFIs, change orders, addenda, clarifications and other correspondence. Implement job closeout procedures as directed by Project Manager. Perform technical and administrative duties as directed by the Project Manager to facilitate the project. Accurately code costs and prepare monthly progress payment requests. Understand the scope of subcontractors; interpret design, construction documents, technical manuals and quantify materials required for construction. Provide the Project Manager with support and accurate information to maximize project management effectiveness. May work multiple shifts, weekends, and holidays. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or Civil Engineering and at least 4 years of experience as a project engineer or related occupation in the construction industry. 4 years of experience with developing and executing project documentation, construction management, reviewing and editing engineering drawings. #J-18808-Ljbffr Fisher Industries
