Punch Press OperatorOperates Punch Presses by performing the following duties:Reads and interprets blueprints.Calculates bend allowances for various material types and thicknesses.Selects proper punch and die tooling.Sets-up, adjusts, and operates Punch Press to perform a wide variety of operations on a diversified line of work.Sets-up, adjusts, and operates Punch Press to run prototype jobs and new parts orders.Writes set-up sheets and understands advanced programming functions.Inspects parts using precision measuring equipment and documents inspection data.Cleans and organizes work area.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization in small groups or one-on-one.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
