Today, Western continues to grow with more than 80 employees fulfilling specialty functions such as engineering, quality, inspection, and production. Every product undergoes a rigorous, sophisticated monitoring and quality assurance program, from heat treatment to testing to the final inspection. Additionally, Western is in full compliance with outlined ASME, PED, ISO, and TSSA standards, a distinction held by only a handful of forging providers in the United States.
Roles & Responsibilities Performs any combination of tasks required to ship material. For this position, day-to-day responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to :- Mark parts for shipment (stamping, vibra tool, etc.).
- Visual inspection of parts while packing.
- Properly pack parts for shipment.
- Drive Company vehicle to pick up or deliver items as necessary.
- Create Bills of Lading and Packing Lists.
- Contact freight companies to arrange pick up of products.
- Create export documents.
- Must be able to operate a forklift and lifting devices.
- Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
- Must work independently with minimal supervision, and understand and follow both oral and written instructions.
- Must be able to read and understand work orders, drawings, and other written instructions.
- Must have basic computer skills and ability to type.
- Operate equipment as necessary.
