Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location

Mission Hills, CA | Acute Care Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective maternal and neonatal care
• Float between like units as needed to support staffing and patient care continuity
• Participate in holiday coverage, with an expectation to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered California RN license (no pending licenses accepted; compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, and LA Fire Card
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard traveler rates (locals accepted at a different rate)
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be considered
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Magnet-designated facility
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Demonstrated flexibility with scheduling and ability to float between similar units
