Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Telemetry remote monitoring experience required - Telemetry on-unit monitoring preferred - Feeding tube care and management - Accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting IVs - Experience with CVA and nasal cannula - Isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac experience - Patient ratios experience of 1:5-6 Description: This position offers a night shift, working three 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Floating between facilities may be required. The nurse will provide care for a variety of patients with multiple co-morbidities, specializing in stroke patient care. The patient-to-nurse ratio will be 1:5 or 1:6. Responsibilities include accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and providing telemetry monitoring. Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry is necessary. The role requires strict adherence to isolation precautions and effective wound care management. The nursing staff will also support a diverse patient population, focusing on inpatient care.
