Information Technology Support Specialist

Location: Newport, RI - 4 days/week | New Bedford, MA - 1 day/week Salary Range: $80K-$100K | Bonus eligible Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday, 8:15-5:30 | Exempt Required: 5+ years of IT Support, Service Desk, or Help Desk experience and 2+ years in a Tier 2 or senior support role Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. About the Opportunity A respected regional law firm is seeking a Level 2 IT Support Specialist to serve as a senior technical resource and escalation point supporting multiple office locations. This newly created role is ideal for an experienced IT professional with strong Microsoft 365 administration experience and a commitment to delivering exceptional end-user support. Qualifications & Skills 5+ years of IT Support, Service Desk, or Help Desk experience 2+ years in a Tier 2 or senior support role Advanced experience administering Microsoft 365 environments Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP , and networking fundamentals Experience working within ITIL/ITSM frameworks Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Key Job Functions Serve as the escalation point for Tier 1 Help Desk issues, resolving complex technical problems while meeting SLA targets Provide onsite and remote desktop support for users in Newport and New Bedford, with occasional travel to Providence Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 , including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Autopilot, and Entra ID/Azure AD Manage Active Directory , user accounts, permissions, and security policies Deploy, image, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software Support VOIP systems , mobile devices, and MDM platforms Assist with network troubleshooting , including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VLANs Mentor junior team members and maintain accurate ticket documentation and knowledge base articles Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation Apply Today If you’re an experienced IT Support Specialist with deep Microsoft 365 expertise and a passion for delivering outstanding technical support, we’d be thrilled to hear from you.
