Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $1,718 per week

Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing – Therapy is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week assignment in Burlington, Kansas. Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week (8‑hour shifts) Employment Type: Travel Location: Facility in Burlington, Kansas Qualifications Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in accordance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Master’s degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology is preferred. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology is preferred. Experience in speech‑language pathology is preferred; new graduates are welcome. Other certifications or licenses may be required. Responsibilities Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices. Continuously assess patient progress, adjust plans, and document in the electronic medical record. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, home exercises, and safe swallowing practices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills. Read, write, and communicate in English; good PC skills. Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal skills to work with diverse personnel. Technical / motor skills to manipulate equipment. Mental requirements to handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines, and work under supervision.
