Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary requirements.
• Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
• Oversee food preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following all health and safety regulations.
• Assist with catering events as needed, providing excellent food service to guests.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.
• Train and mentor dietary aides in food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
• Familiarity with meal preparation, menu planning, and catering services is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and dietary guidelines is essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• A passion for cooking and helping others through quality food service is a must.
