Project Accountant

Overview This Project Accountant opportunity offers the chance to join a rapidly growing project-based organization supporting large-scale construction and infrastructure projects across the United States. The Project Accountant will work closely with Accounting, Operations, and Project Management teams while helping ensure financial accuracy throughout the project lifecycle. Location: Orlando, FL (Onsite). Must currently reside in or be within commuting distance of the Greater Orlando area. Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 Compelling Factors High-growth organization with a strong national project pipeline Direct exposure to Accounting and Operations leadership Opportunity to own critical project accounting processes from start to finish Collaborative, team-oriented culture with visibility across the business Spot bonus opportunities tied to performance and contributions Stable organization with long-term growth potential Key Responsibilities Manage project accounting activities from project setup through closeout Review project costs, invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor documentation Track project budgets, commitments, and cost activity to ensure financial accuracy Process customer billings and assist with project revenue tracking Prepare account reconciliations and support month-end close activities Manage and review lien waivers, subcontractor documentation, and project compliance requirements Partner with Project Managers and Operations teams to resolve billing, cost, and documentation issues Assist with cash flow tracking, project reporting, and financial analysis Support audit requests and special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 3+ years of accounting experience required Construction, contractor, project-based, or infrastructure accounting experience strongly preferred Experience with lien waivers required Experience supporting project billing, job costing, subcontractor payments, or project financial reporting preferred Strong understanding of reconciliations, accruals, and general accounting principles Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required Experience with ERP or project accounting systems preferred Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements Benefits & Growth Medical, dental, and vision coverage Retirement savings plan Paid time off and holidays Spot bonus opportunities Professional development and advancement opportunities Exposure to leadership and growing project operations #J-18808-Ljbffr
