Pharmacy Care Representative

As a Pharmacy Care Representative, you'll work in a team environment to provide superior customer service that exceeds patient expectations. Key responsibilities include providing superior customer service, working closely with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Care Representatives to provide excellent patient care, promoting greeting, asking, and thanking strategies, and directing calls to appropriate partners. You will receive written prescriptions from customers, obtain and verify demographic and profile-related information, and process prescriptions and refill numbers into RXEVO. You will generate prescription-related paperwork, file, retrieve, and maintain prescriptions in the Will-Call area, and use RXEVO at the point of sale system to ensure procedures are followed to deliver prescriptions to the correct patients. You will direct customers to the counseling window for pharmacist consultation, obtain and return tills from bookkeeping, process customer transactions at the register, maintain manual signature capture receipts, and scan them into RXEVO in a timely fashion. You will properly process and clear prepaid prescriptions, ensure all prescription deliveries are finalized, print RX delivery ledger daily, complete contact patient queue, file and maintain prescription hard copies, assist technicians and pharmacists to ensure complete and efficient production for the shift, participate in Rx screening events, flu shot scheduling, immunization scheduling, and future medication therapy management events, check in and assist customers receiving vaccines using comprehensive vaccine manager tool or other professional services apps, and may participate in other professional services activities. You will receive OTC inventory, check delivery for accuracy compared to invoices, stage OTC inventory, break out into stocking sections, comply with Return to Stock SOP, ensure caps, vials, bags, etc., are correctly stocked, record fridge and freezer temperature logs, comply with HIPAA regulations, TSBP rules, H-E-B SOPs, process PSE transactions, follow manual process if electronic system unavailable, comply with Central Fill check-in procedures, ensure department and work area comply with presentation, organization, sanitation, and maintenance guidelines, remove trash from department, and comply with trash compactor processes.

Qualifications and key requirements include being 18 years or older, having experience in retail, experience in pharmacy a plus, experience working in a fast-paced environment, working knowledge of pharmacy-related tasks, H-E-B RXEVO system, register procedures, and H-E-B Pharmacy SOPs, strong communication and customer service skills, mathematical skills, PC skills including MS Office and H-E-B software and programs required by the job, cash-handling skills, ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, ability to demonstrate strong telephone etiquette, ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks, ability to work in a team environment, ability to work with little direct supervision, willingness to cross-train, and a high school diploma or GED or equivalent. Licenses/certifications include completion of all required training and certification.

Physical demands and working conditions include functioning in a fast-paced, retail, office environment, working rotating shifts including nights and weekends, standing for extended periods, regularly lifting 30 lbs or more, fulfilling vision requirements for the job, specifically close vision and color vision, and maintaining H-E-B Rx screener status including required recertification.
