Quality Control Inspector

Job Full Description

Metal Fabricating company in Cicero, IL is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector. Candidate must have previous experience inspecting metal (stainless steel and aluminum) fabricated parts.


SHIFT: Monday-Friday, 5:00am-1:30pm.


DUTIES:

• Reads blueprints, bills of materials, and written work orders required in the fabrication of parts.
• Measure and monitor products and processes
• In-Process inspection of product in all manufacturing stages
• Conduct calibration of measuring devices
• Utilize computers for recording results, generating forms, and monitoring specifications
• Implement corrective actions and preventive measures
• Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement
• Clearly communicate and actively listen
• Assist with implementation of quality programs and policies
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills
• General knowledge of ISO-9001, First Article and PPAP's
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook
• Bilingual, English and Spanish or English and Polish, preferred
• Ability to add and subtract small, medium or large numbers and to multiply and divide. Must be able to use a tape measure or other measuring devices such as calipers and to work with any/all specified tolerances. Must be able to read a decimal chart and simple/complex drawings to verify product identification and requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:


• Proficient in reading of engineering drawings.
• Use of measurement equipment including Height Gage, Calipers,
Micrometers, Gage Pins, Radius Gages, Etc.
• General knowledge ISO-9001, First Article and PPAP's.
• Perform Work Order Inspections and make updates in Epicor as necessary.
