Part-Time Art Therapist

Outreach is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Part-Time Art Therapist for our Adolescent program located in Brentwood, Long Island. The Recreation Therapist is responsible for all aspects of client recreational activities including planning, documenting, and overseeing each function.

What You Will Do:

• Provide supervised highly structured indoor recreational activities to clients.
• Provide supervised highly structured outdoor recreational activities to clients.
• Provide supervised highly structured indoor recreation in the weight room with clients.
• Plan and oversee special events with patients and their families.
• Provide supervisor with scheduled activities for participants in orientation, early treatment, middle treatment, and late treatment phases of the program.
• Provide daily group notes indicating activities and participation.
• Complete and accurate reporting of incident reports and crisis intervention.
• Participate in supervisions.
• Communicate all pertinent information/incidents/emergencies via SAC book.

Who You Are:

• Experience in creative arts and/or recreational therapy
• Commitment to providing quality services and outcome-driven performance measures.
• Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to program planning.
• Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
• Experience with AVATAR electronic health records is a plus.

Schedule: Fridays 12-6 pm.
