Production Planner – Manufacturing & Packaging

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Production Planner to coordinate and maintain weekly production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing and packaging environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with the client, production supervisors, and management team to ensure production plans are accurate, raw materials are available, and schedule changes are communicated effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update weekly production schedules across 8–9 production lines.
• Review daily production schedules and make adjustments based on changing priorities and operational needs.
• Prepare production plans 3 weeks in advance to support efficient operations.
• Verify raw material availability, including LSPK, to help prevent production delays.
• Coordinate production line priorities based on customer demand and production requirements.
• Schedule and account for maintenance downtime to minimize disruptions.
• Lead and participate in daily meetings with the client to review production plans, priorities, and schedule changes.
• Communicate updates and changes to production supervisors to ensure the team remains informed and aligned.
• Monitor production needs and identify potential scheduling conflicts or material shortages.
• Use computer systems and Excel spreadsheets to update schedules, track information, and maintain accurate records.
• Support communication between the client and production team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
• Basic Microsoft Excel skills and general computer proficiency.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to lead meetings, communicate updates clearly, and keep discussions focused.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing, packaging, or warehouse operations is preferred.
• Experience coordinating production schedules or working with production teams is a plus.

Work Environment

This position works closely with the client and production supervisors in a manufacturing and packaging environment. The Production Planner must be comfortable managing daily schedule updates, participating in meetings, and responding to changing production demands.
