Role Overview Functions as a Registrar based upon business needs. Resolves more difficult registration and customer service issues that cannot be handled by Registrars. Works with leader on creating/maintaining department staffing schedules. Provides input on team member performance reviews. Participates with leader in regard to coaching and counseling team members. Answers questions and provides guidance to staff with process flow, regulations, policies and procedures. Assists and provides training for new team members and retraining as needed. Makes recommendations for improvement in process flow, work redesign for efficiency and/or quality improvement opportunities within department. Works with others to ensure appropriate coordination of patients. Follows all established protocol to ensure patient confidentiality, data security and compliance with regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Education: High School Graduate or GED Equivalent (HS/GED) Required Experience: 4-5 years of previous registration & admitting in a hospital/healthcare setting OR any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of job. Other Requirements: Interpersonal and Communication Skills Ability to multi-task Ability to assign tasks and engage others Ability to resolve conflicts Proficient in technology used and process flows Ability to work effectively with others.
