Nurse Supervisor
The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical leadership, operational oversight, coaching, and supervision to frontline nursing teams within an assigned nursing program. Each nursing service area has a dedicated Nurse Supervisor who supports the delivery of high-quality patient care, staff development, workflow optimization, and regulatory compliance. Nursing service areas include Family Medicine, Obstetrics (OB), Triage & Advice, Care Management, and Homeless & Housing Services.
This role ensures the delivery of safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient centered care and promotes consistent nursing practice across multiple care settings. Under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services, the Nurse Supervisor partners and collaborates closely with other nurse leaders, clinical educator, medical providers, clinical and program leaders of operations, infection control, behavioral health, pharmacy, and other members of the interdisciplinary leadership team to advance integrated care and improve patient access, experience, quality, and outcomes. The position will provide day-to-day clinical leadership to nurses, support workforce development, monitor clinical quality performance, and create an environment where nurses are empowered to practice at the top of their licensure. The Nurse Supervisor will maintain clinical competency and provide direct patient care to support patient access, staffing needs, clinical operations, and continuity of care.

Compensation:
- The target wage range for this position is $113,713.00 to $159,390.00 annually.
- Final offers are individually based on various factors, including skill set, years of experience, location, qualifications, work schedule and other job-related reasons.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and mentor nursing staff by establishing clear expectations and overseeing hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, competency validation, performance management, and professional development.
- Conduct clinical audits, competency assessments, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with nursing practice standards and quality expectations.
- Participate in and contribute to quality, safety, compliance, regulatory, and nursing practice committees; support safety event reviews, root cause analyses, corrective action plans, and follow-up activities.
- Support workforce planning, budget development, resource management, credentialing, documentation, regulatory and compliance related actives.
- Operational Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing operations, staffing, workflow design, care coordination, and resource allocation to support access, efficiency, and continuity of care.
- Collaborate with Clinic Administrators, Site Medical Directors, operational leaders, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to address clinical and operational priorities.
- Lead and support quality improvement initiatives, using data and operational metrics to improve patient outcomes, access, safety, and workforce performance.
- Lead change management, program development, and workflow improvement initiatives that advance nursing practice and organizational goals.
- Travel between clinic sites to support nursing teams, patient care delivery, meetings, and operational priorities as needed.
- Clinical Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, equitable, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across clinics, triage services, the Patient Contact Center, and community-based programs.
- Provide clinical leadership for telephone triage, nurse advice services, MyChart message management, and escalation of complex clinical concerns.
- Support implementation of best practice clinical protocols, standing orders, policies, procedures, infection prevention practices, and patient safety standards, ensuring staff adherence and ongoing compliance.
- Provide direct patient care, patient education, chronic disease management support, and clinical consultation as needed to support access, staffing needs, and continuity of care.
- Support nurses in resolving complex patient needs through multidisciplinary care coordination and team-based care strategies.
- Promote equitable, trauma-informed, culturally responsive care and uphold Neighborcare Health's service commitments of respect, collaboration, trust, and exceptional customer service.

- Experience working with interpreters in a medical setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work with patients who have complex care needs, substance use concerns, or mental health disorders.
- Previous nursing or healthcare supervisory or management experience.
- Experience in ambulatory care, or community-based health center or setting.
- Experience with nurse triage, telephone/electronic patient advice, Patient Contact Center operations.
- Experience using Epic or other electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experience developing and working with clinical protocols, standing orders, and nursing workflows.
- Experience in population health, chronic disease management, care management, or interdisciplinary care team.
- Strong understanding of ambulatory nursing workflows and team-based care.
- Ability to interpret clinical and operational data and use findings to drive improvement.
- Ability to develop practical, sustainable workflows and processes.
- Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with leadership.
- Experience with motivational interviewing skills
- Commitment to equity, patient advocacy, and service to underserved communities.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Associate's degree in Nursing x
- 3-5 years of nursing experience inpatient or ambulatory care with leadership experience.
- An active and unrestricted RN license with Washington State Dept. of Health
- Current BLS Certificate
- A master's degree in nursing or health administration
- 3-5 Years of progressive or direct supervisory leadership experience.
- Experience in a community-based clinic or health center.
- Wound Care certification
- Foot Care certification
- Ambulatory Care Nursing certification
- Care Management Certification
- Strong knowledge and expertise on ambulatory care delivery is preferred
