Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse Job Description This is a high-level, high-functioning Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position, focusing on the management and care of multiple long-term patients. The selected nurse will demonstrate proficiency in patient care practices, management of dysrhythmias, and the interpretation of telemetry data. Responsibilities Manage patient care in a 1:5 ratio within a 34-bed telemetry monitored unit. Administer medications and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as necessary. Perform peripheral line care and management of PICC lines. Participate in the management and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams. Provide care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including stroke and renal disorders. Schedule This position requires a flexible schedule including 3x12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, with weekend and holiday rotations. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active RN license in hand at submission. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU setting; first-time travelers are accepted. ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Experience with cardiac telemetry and the management of dysrhythmias. EPIC charting system experience is preferred. Why ARMStaffing?
