Every life you touch here makes our entire community stronger. The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is a licensed independent practitioner. The FNP assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories. He/she determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results. Frequent communication outside of the work group is required to resolve disagreements, reach agreements, and clarify issues/processes. Responsibility exists to ensure that internal customers are satisfied with service. Communicates with external contacts frequently and is responsible for ensuring ongoing service. Requirements Education Master's degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland. CDS, DEA, CPR. Experience One year of experience in the specialty area. Two or more years of Nurse Practitioner experience in Family Medicine.
