Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 6-8 week contract position. The candidate must start on 6/08/26.

Straight nights, 7 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday, with on-call duties per unit needs.

The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, compassionate care. The nurse will manage patients' needs through their hospitalization, focusing on recovery, education, and overall well-being.

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological health.

Develop and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately.

Monitor and assess patient responses to medications and treatments.

Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies.

Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.

Educate patients and families on managing conditions, post-hospital care, and recovery processes.

Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control protocols and other safety measures.

Recognize and respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as necessary.

Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience required.

Minimum 1 year of travel experience preferred.

High acuity unit experience, mentorship, or charge experience required.

Current BLS certification.

Unencumbered Ohio RN License.

Ability to arrive onsite within 1 hour when on-call.
