Manufacturing Experienced Professional - Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor Role As a Production Supervisor, you lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality production. You guide frontline teams, coordinate production schedules, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Production Management Supervise daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets. Monitor production processes and adjust schedules or resources to maintain efficiency. Ensure optimal utilization of materials, equipment, and workforce. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop production operators and technicians. Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development. Promote a positive, engaged, and accountable team environment. Manage staffing levels and shift coverage to meet operational needs. Safety & Compliance Enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Conduct safety audits and support incident investigations. Drive a culture of safety and continuous risk reduction. Quality & Continuous Improvement Ensure compliance with product quality standards and specifications. Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma). Track and improve KPIs such as productivity, scrap rates, and downtime. Communication & Coordination Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Quality. Provide regular updates on production performance, risks, and issues. Support production planning and scheduling activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in operations management or a related field, or high school diploma with relevant experience. 3 to 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, including supervisory or leadership roles. Strong leadership, coaching, and team‑building skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards. Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
