Countertop / Slab Installer
$20 per hourTithof Tile & Marble
- Aide Lead Installer and/or Foreman with installation of stone countertops/creations as per Fab Sheet
- Load and prep service trucks for installs. Secure trucks after completion
- Ensure all completed work is clean, caulked and sealed
- Ensure jobs sites are as clean or cleaner than when you arrived
- Take photos of completed jobs
- Complete paperwork associated with job completion
- Perform all maintenance for the Fast Back edge polishing machine
- Assist in the shop when needed
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record
- Experience working with stone preferred
- 2 years’ experience working in carpentry, building and/or installation
- Ability to use tape measure and hand tools
- Comfortable reading and interpreting architectural/shop drawings
- Ability to lift, push and or pull 75 pounds repetitively and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation and without posing a threat to the health and safety of the individual or others
- Ability to work efficiently independently while also having the desire to work as part of a team with a results-driven approach
- High level of workmanship - individual should demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, take pride in work and monitors own work to ensure quality and solicits and applies feedback to improve performance
- Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner
- The individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
- Dependability & excellent attendance - the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction
- Enthusiastically and respectfully work with the job Foreman and/or Lead to aide and assist them and to ensure Tithof customers receive the quality associated with the Tithof Brand during installs
- Seek opportunities to learn, grow and expand industry knowledge and improve efficiency
- Engage with foremen so as to assist efficiently to complete projects on time, adhering to high-quality standards and also in order to learn, grow, expand knowledge and improve efficiency
- Carefully load tools, materials and prep service trucks for installs. Secure trucks after completion.
- Take photos of completed jobs
- Accurately complete all job paperwork associated with job completion, including logging and recording job hours spent on jobs by phase for proper Job Costing and billing
- Maintain a professional appearance in all respects:
- Ensure all completed work is clean, caulked and sealed
- Ensure jobs sites are as clean or cleaner than when you arrived
- Be responsible for your vehicle’s cleanliness and maintenance needs
- Efficiently perform all required maintenance for the Fast Back edge polishing machine to ensure it remains in good working condition
- Maintain a team mentality, including having a positive attitude about assisting in the shop when needed
- Maintain clear communication, professionalism and be able to engage with and respectfully communicate with Managers and other departments to provide knowledge and solutions for internal and external contacts. Look for resolutions to issues. Adapt and improvise as necessary.
- Identify ways to maximize company profit while delivering top-notch product and service to the client. Be conscious of how company time and money is spent.
- Carry out “The Tithof Way.” Demonstrate respect, professionalism, attention to detail, passion and drive regularly.
- Additional tasks as requested by management
- Adheres to all health and safety rules, regulations, policies and protocols
