Sr. Product Owner - Manufacturing / Industrial (Onsite NYC)
Location: New York City - Onsite (3 days/week mandatory)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Product Owner with strong experience in manufacturing or industrial environments to lead the early phase of a critical product initiative for a luxury artificial jewelry client. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, operational teams, and distributed delivery teams to ensure the solution aligns with manufacturing, customer service, and quality workflows.
The Product Owner will act as the primary bridge between business users and delivery teams , ensuring product vision, backlog, and roadmap are aligned with operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a senior client-facing Product Owner and primary contact for business stakeholders
Define and own product vision aligned with manufacturing, customer service, and quality processes
Engage directly with onsite operational teams via workshops, interviews, and workflow observation
Translate business needs into user stories, backlog, and roadmap
Create story maps and prioritization frameworks for delivery teams
Collaborate with UX, engineering, and distributed teams across locations
Drive backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization decisions
Ensure alignment between business expectations and delivery execution
Support implementation, validation, and product decision-making
Provide guidance throughout the delivery lifecycle

Required Qualifications

Senior-level experience as Product Owner in manufacturing / industrial environments
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience
Experience working with MES and/or ERP systems in manufacturing
Proven experience translating operational workflows into product requirements
Experience working with distributed/global delivery teams
Strong Agile / Scrum product ownership experience
Excellent communication and facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in luxury industry or high-end manufacturing
Artificial jewelry / retail manufacturing experience
Experience with shop floor workflows
Understanding of quality control & production lifecycle
Experience in multi-site manufacturing environments
