Our products are sold world-wide while our office locations are in Lake City and Bloomington, MN.About the RoleWe're looking for a driven, hands-on Maintenance Technician I to keep our equipment and facility running safely and smoothly. Working under the direction of the department manager, you'll handle preventive and day-to-day maintenance, help catch problems before they become breakdowns, and build your skills alongside an experienced team. This is a great fit for someone early in their maintenance career who wants room to grow.What You'll DoPerform preventive and routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and the facilityClean and lubricate equipment and machines on a regular scheduleChange filters on rooftop HVAC units and other facility equipmentIdentify tools and equipment showing signs of wear before major failures occurTroubleshoot minor electrical and hydraulic issues and repair hydraulic leaks under supervisionInspect lifting devices to confirm they meet current safety standardsHelp build safety equipment, machine guarding, and structural protection devicesTake on additional duties as neededWhat You Bring1–3 years of maintenance experience, or an associate degree in a related fieldBasic knowledge of AC and DC electrical diagnostics, including 24V control circuitsAbility to follow standard wiring practices for 120V, 240V, and three-phase power circuitsBasic plumbing and fitting knowledgeFamiliarity with metalworking equipment and processesA strong commitment to following safety procedures and protocolsWillingness to become certified on forklifts, mechanical lifting equipment, and manliftsAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checkPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, and sit for extended periodsAbility to work in varying conditions, including extreme heat and coldAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbsScheduleMonday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.Occasional overtime may be requested based on needWhy You'll Love Working at Valley CraftCompetitive pay plus a $1,000 sign-on bonusGreat work-life balance with a weekday scheduleClean, safety-focused shop environmentFriendly, collaborative team cultureReal opportunities for advancement
