Description

Hawkins HVAC Distributors, Inc. is an HVAC distributor of Airease, Ducane, Allied Commercial, and Magic Pak equipment, along with related parts and supplies, to the install and service trade. Hawkins is a growing start-up, with a leadership team that has nearly 80 years of combined experience in the HVAC Wholesale distribution trade. We are looking for qualified people to work in our newest location in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Outside Sales Associate ensures the goals and objectives set by the Company by professionally presenting its products and programs within an assigned territory. The sales professional should be polite, friendly, and professional at all times. Salary is made of a base and commission structure and is commensurate with experience. Pre-employment screens will be conducted.

Position Responsibilities

Position responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Professionally conduct him/herself in all interactions with contractors, customers, employees, and vendors.
• Achieve sales, gross profit, and other assigned objectives following goals established by the Company.
• Solicit new accounts/dealers and assist in developing market strategies.
• Develop relationships with customers by providing exceptional customer service and assist in improving customer profits.
• Maintain consistent contact with all assigned accounts and demonstrate strong selling and follow-up skills.
• Keep abreast with technical developments and changes in product lines, monitor competitive threats and discuss the proper response with the Manager.
• Attend and participate in scheduled events, training coordination, sales meetings, and other business associations.
• Partner with personnel to help achieve Company goals.
• Maintain good judgment and adhere to company policies and objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of HVAC sales experience are required.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Proven track record in increasing sales and exceeding goals.
• Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills in sales and problem-solving.
• Proficient with computers, MS Office experience preferred.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
