Instruments & Controls CAD Intern

Your impact Jacobs is seeking a CAD/Drafting Intern to support our Instruments & Controls (I&C) design team in our Corvallis, Oregon office. This role is specifically designed for students currently enrolled in a CAD, Drafting, or Design Technology program who are looking to gain hands‑on drafting experience while completing their education. This is a CAD-focused role, not an engineering position. You will support designers and engineers by producing 2D drawings and documentation, learning industry CAD tools, and working on real-world projects in a professional design environment. This internship is intended to provide practical experience for CAD students. Here’s what you’ll need Must be currently enrolled in secondary education courses and working towards a degree in CAD CAD application understanding preferred in MS and ACAD but will help teach on the job. Must be willing to work in the Corvallis office a minimum of 16-20 hours a week on average while finishing school. More hours are always welcome with some hybrid working at home. Must live within commutable distance from Corvallis office Preferred CAD application understanding preferred in Micro Station and ACAD but will help teach our 3D modeling platforms on job. Focused and concise verbal and written communication Strong time management skills and experience Reliable, focused, and detail‑oriented. The base salary range for this position is $47,300.00 to $58,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
