Ultrasound Technologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)

• The Ultrasound Technologist collaborates effectively with Radiologic Technologists, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Advanced Practice Nurses (APN), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Registered Nurses (RN), and Physician Assistants (PA) to provide comprehensive healthcare services to both inpatient and outpatient populations.
• Function as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, particularly within the Radiology Department at FHCC, operating within a 100% digital imaging and storage (PACS) system.
• The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound scans on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Process images for interpretation and complete exams in Oracle/Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Scan and edit documentation, ensuring proper PACS entry.
• Ensure after-hours radiologist services receive all necessary and relevant ultrasound images for diagnostic interpretation.
• Monitor and maintain ultrasound equipment, promptly reporting malfunctions to the Ultrasound Supervisor.
• The Ultrasound Technologist assists physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and necessary equipment.

Ultrasound Technologist - REQUIREMENTS

• Must have an ARRT-US license or ARDMS certification.
• Must have a minimum 1 year of recent experience in general and vascular ultrasound imaging.
• Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Must possess a full, unrestricted license in a U.S. State, Territory, or Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
