Facility: GSS NE Auburn Location: Auburn, NE Address: 1322 U St, Auburn, NE 68305, USA Shift: 8 Hours - Day Shifts Job Schedule: Full time Weekly Hours: 40.00 Salary Range: $24.00 - $36.00 Responsibilities Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge. Utilize appropriate age- and population-specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan. Perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and provide the care needed. Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively in emergent situations. Ensure the health, comfort and safety of residents. Assess residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered. Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed. Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, health care providers, and the public; collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Counsel residents, family members and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider or physician. Utilize knowledge of resident education principles to develop a self-care program. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred. If IV therapy/management skills are required, the following applies in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span or have at least 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility. Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements. Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges. Obtains and maintains required department specific competencies and certifications. Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
