Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of repair and maintenance duties to ensure that buildings, equipment, and systems are operating efficiently and safely. This role involves troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner.Key Responsibilities:Inspect and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsPerform routine preventive maintenance on machines and equipmentDiagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct themRepair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power toolsMaintain and monitor building systems including HVAC, lighting, and fire safetyRespond promptly to emergency repair requestsMaintain accurate maintenance records and logsFollow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulationsCoordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairsKeep tools and maintenance equipment in good working conditionQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (technical school or certification preferred)Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar roleStrong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systemsAbility to read technical manuals and blueprintsSkilled in the use of hand, power tools, and preferably experience in carpentryFamiliarity with safety protocols and proceduresGood physical condition and strength with a willingness to work in various conditionsPreferred Qualifications:HVAC certification, electrical license, or related certificationsExperience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Bilingual (optional, depending on workplace)Work Environment:Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, heat, cold, and noiseMay require standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and climbing laddersWork may be performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditionsEqual Opportunity EmployerIND1
