Within the 7 established geographical regions, the Northwest Region covers Oregon and Washington. The region consists of 13 Market Managers, 2 Top Account sales managers, 2 Market Development Representatives, and 2 New Business Development Managers delivering ~550k units and ~$450M in annual net sales.This role in summaryThe Senior Sales Manager for the Northwest Region is a sales leadership-focused role emphasizing market manager development within the retail and builder channel, along with strategy creation and continuous improvement for critical accounts and business segments. Your responsibilities will includeLead 12 market managers and 2 Market Development RepresentativesMaster the regional P&L with specific ownership of market manager and MDR quota attainment Provide thought leadership in working with regional leadership (RSD, BDISR, NBDM) in creating retail and contract/builder strategiesExecute strategies and deliver results, prioritizing quarterly objectives, and ensuring the region is delivering strong retail and contract/builder growth Provide leadership for Ferguson, Whirlpool’s largest ACD, driving accountability among each market manager to prospect & deliver both outside contract and inside showroom salesFoster positive people leader experiences, making the region a destination for top talentCreate a transparent, open culture of sharing best practices, constructive feedbackOwn the performance management process for direct reports: EPE, objective setting, and quota developmentDrive operational excellence in partnership with the sales operations team and other process partnersDevelop thought leadership that brings a solutions-driven, continuous improvement mindsetLead continuous improvement initiatives that deliver operational enhancements to the regionBuild strong relationships across Sr. Manager peer set & NBDM teams, ensuring collaboration and culture of learningMinimum requirementsBachelor Degree+5 years of strategic selling and negotiating in the home appliance marketplacePreferred skills and experiencesPast selling experiencePosture of curiosity and passion for learningAbility to create trust & followership Proactive coaching and exhibiting servant leadershipExceptional communication skills and detailed follow upAnalytical and continuous improvement mindsetStrong financial acumen including P&L understandingStrong knowledge of Whirlpool operations and support functions processWhat we offerGenerous benefits package, Whirlpool employee discount, fitness & educational reimbursement programs, kitchenettes, and more!
