MAC Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced HVAC General Manager to lead our growing team in Brevard, North Carolina. This is an outstanding opportunity for a proven leader who understands HVAC operations, team development, customer service, and business performance.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including service, installation, sales, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and employee development. We are looking for a leader who can build accountability, improve operational efficiency, and drive sustainable growth while maintaining our commitment to exceptional customer service.
What You'll Do
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop service, installation, sales, dispatch, and administrative teams
- Establish clear expectations, accountability measures, and performance standards
- Recruit, train, and retain top talent
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on growth and professionalism
- Conduct regular leadership meetings and performance reviews
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of the HVAC service and installation departments
- Improve operational efficiency, scheduling, communication, and workflow processes
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvement strategies
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction across all departments
- Manage fleet, inventory, purchasing, and operational resources
Financial Performance
- Manage departmental budgets and overall company profitability
- Analyze financial reports and operational metrics
- Monitor labor efficiency, gross profit, revenue growth, and operating expenses
- Develop and execute strategies to improve margins and financial performance
- Maintain accountability for company P&L performance
Customer Experience & Growth
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained
- Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively
- Support business development and growth initiatives
- Strengthen relationships with customers, vendors, and community partners
- Drive maintenance agreement growth and customer retention efforts
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company policies, licensing requirements, and safety standards
- Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization
- Maintain adherence to local, state, and federal regulations
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of HVAC management or leadership experience
- Strong understanding of HVAC service and installation operations
- Experience leading teams and developing employees
- Proven success managing operational performance and profitability
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
- Valid driver's license
Preferred
- General Manager, Operations Manager, Service Manager, or Branch Manager experience
- Residential HVAC leadership experience
- ServiceTitan experience
- Sales leadership and coaching experience
- Experience improving KPIs and operational efficiency
- Multi-department leadership experience
