Outside Parts Salesman

Ward Trucks of Mobile is hiring an outside parts salesman.

Summary

Outside Parts Salesman are responsible for selling parts in sales territory, over-the-phone, and occasionally, on-line, to our customers while promoting and maintaining a positive, team oriented, and customer focused attitude within the parts department.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting customers in selecting and purchasing the correct parts.
• Providing pricing and product information to customers.
• Answering telephones promptly.
• Maintaining customer satisfaction at or above company standards.
• Assisting with inventory validation.
• Contributing to departmental production and profitability goals.
• Ability to apply common sense when needed, while staying within company guidelines.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Preferred experience in outside parts sales.
• Heavy Duty Parts Counter experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
• Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
• Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Compensation/Work Schedule

Salary Plus Commission

M F 8 hour shift + Rotating Saturdays 7:00am to 12:00pm
