Registered Nurse, CVOR (Day Shift)

ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, CVOR (Day Shift) in Winter Haven, Florida.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Five 8-hour shifts per week from 05:30 AM to 02:00 PM, with call every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the CVOR unit will provide care for adult patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic procedures. The unit primarily performs procedures such as CABG, thoracotomy, TAVR, Mitra Clip, AVR, pericardial window, MVR, and pacemaker placements. The nurse will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and utilize Cerner for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients in the CVOR unit.
• Participate in cardiothoracic surgeries and assist during procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Respond to emergency situations effectively.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the healthcare team through Cerner.
• Take call as required every other weekend, participating in the call rotation.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a CVOR setting.
• Previous charge experience required.
• Experience with the Cerner charting system is mandatory.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Florida or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• ACLS certification is required.
