Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Kansas

Start Date: November 3, 2026

Location: Derby, Kansas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts. Emergency Department with 52 beds supporting approximately 134 staff members. Shift staffing includes charge nurse, 4 bedside nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel provider per pod.

Highlights:

• Patient ratios average 3:1, with lower acuity cases at 5:1; pediatric patients managed through team nursing model
• EMR system: Meditech
• Equipment: Alaris infusion pumps with expectation of scanning patients and medications with every administration
• Typical procedures include IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric emergency care
• Fast-paced, dynamic emergency department environment with experienced staff
• Travel nursing assignment supporting a well-established Emergency Department team

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Previous travel nursing experience or experience working in large facility emergency departments required
• ENPC certification preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Experience in emergency departments with 52+ bed capacity preferred
