divh2Job Title/h2pThis position performs tasks required for the operation of hydraulic excavation equipment for the construction/upgrade of underground utilities, including communications conduit, gas, water, sewer, electric, and more./ppEssential Functions and Responsibilities:/pulliLoad and unload equipment in a manner that is secure and damage-free/liliTransport associated tools, materials, and/or equipment safely/liliComplete a daily inspection of equipment prior to commencing work/liliIn conjunction with the crew, operate the equipment to assist in placing underground utilities/liliOperate equipment in accordance with company and industry standards/liliResponsible for locating existing underground utilities and verifying them according to blueprints/liliIdentify utilities in the construction area and bore path/liliConnect/stub-up conduit and wire, as required/liliDig pits, trenches, or potholes as required, including windows when crossing utilities/liliRestore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite/liliAccurately complete all required company documentation for each assignment (i.e., timesheet, vehicle log, expense report)/liliAdhere to all established company safety policies and perform work in a safe manner/liliPerform other duties as assigned to help the team complete a project/li/ulpKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:/pulliAbility to read and interpret engineering/construction prints, plans, and specifications/liliKnowledge of utility depths and placements/liliPossess general knowledge of construction practices/liliAbility to work in various environments/settings with moderate to loud noise levels/liliAbility to work in trenches, excavations, and manholes/liliMust have attention to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks/liliAbility to work efficiently, independently, and collaboratively within a team environment/liliExcellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills/liliAbility to move materials/equipment weighing up to 80 pounds/liliAbility to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment/liliAble to work 5-7 days a week, 10+ hours a day when necessary/liliWilling to work outside in varying weather conditions/li/ulpPreferred Education and Experience:/pulliOne year of experience operating a directional bore drill/liliPrevious rock boring experience/liliOne year of Hydraulic Excavators, Skid Loader, and Dozer experience/liliClass A CDL/li/ulpAdditional Eligibility Qualifications:/pulliMust be willing and able to travel out of town with occasional overnight stays to assigned projects/liliMust be able to lift at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis/liliPass pre-employment drug test and criminal background screen/liliComplete and pass a DOT Physical/li/ulpPhysical Demands:/pulliThis position typically requires balancing, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, grasping, reaching, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing, hearing, and talking/li/ulpWorking Conditions:/pulliThe employee will be exposed to varying weather conditions as they will be driving in all types of conditions/li/ulpTravel:/pulliThis position may require travel, which could include traveling to projects in different cities and overnight stays/li/ulpBenefits:/pulliFull Benefits Package: Health, Life, Dental, and Vision/li/ul/div
