Collaboration with engineers, architects, and clients is crucial as you prepare topographic maps and deliver detailed reports in a timely manner.You'll interpret legal documents to establish property boundaries and provide construction stakeout services for various infrastructure projects. As a licensed land surveyor, you will also oversee and mentor junior surveyors, ensuring high-quality results that comply with all regulations. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, geography, or a related field is key, along with a minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience. You must hold a Professional Land Surveyor license in at least one state.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary, and you should be adept at learning company-specific software and tools. Key attributes include a strong understanding of ALTA/NSPS standards, boundary law principles, and real property legal descriptions. Your experience should encompass reviewing ALTA surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, and delivering CAD/GIS outputs using tools like AutoCAD and Civil 3D.Effective management of external consultants and a working knowledge of title commitments and easements will be crucial.
