Job SummaryThe Over-the-Road Driver, Class A, is primarily responsible for the transportation of equipment and freight across long-haul routes. This position requires extended travel, with drivers being away from home for at least ten, and up to 14 consecutive days, followed by scheduled time-off. In addition to driving, the role involves handling freight and unloading trailers at multiple stops. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport products from the manufacturing facility to designated warehouses and destinations.Assist with the loading and unloading of products at multiple stops, ensuring that all items are handled carefully to prevent damage.Ensure all deliveries are completed on schedule while complying with all DOT regulations and company safety standards.Follow delivery schedules and routes as provided by the Logistics Manager, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.Assist with the loading and unloading of products, ensuring that all items are handled carefully to prevent damage.Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and other essential functions. Report any issues or needed repairs to the Safety & Transportation Manager.Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, receipts, and any discrepancies encountered. Ensure all documentation is completed and submitted promptly.Adhere to all federal, state, and local driving regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
