Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Float

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)

Contract length: 13 weeks; guaranteed hours: 36 hours/week

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience; 1st timers accepted
• Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Certifications required: BLS
• Experience with Epic EMR system required
• Ability to float to all Medical Surgical and Telemetry units within the facility
• Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:5-6

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a diverse patient population in a float pool setting
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members
• Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes as necessary
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures

Compliance / Notes

Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time, the push back is 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Dress code: Navy Blue scrubs required. Must work every other weekend and any major holiday that falls within the assignment period.
