Senior Systems Engineer - Navel Power

Position Senior Systems Engineer – Surface Radars and Radars team. Location San Diego, CA; US-CA-SAN DIEGO-SD1 ~ 8650 Balboa Ave (approximately 1 mile south of the SAN ANTONIO BLDG). Security Clearance Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Secret clearance required. U.S. citizenship required. Responsibilities Develop system requirements, radar software requirements, radar processing algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces. Develop concepts of operations (CONOPS) for radar systems in support of mission needs. Perform radar processing algorithm development and statistical/numerical analysis of radar performance data. Develop analysis tools to support problem identification, troubleshooting, and system performance evaluation. Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging. Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to develop/implement solutions that improve system performance. Develop and run models to predict system performance and support verification and validation activities. Present technical findings, analyses, and solutions to leadership and customers. Travel as needed (up to 10%) to support mission execution at RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations. Work onsite in San Diego, CA. Qualifications You Must Have Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, or systems test. Proficiency in C++, Python, MATLAB, or similar programming languages. Preferred Qualifications Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar systems and software architecture on DoD systems. Experience with radar processing algorithms, radar software requirements, and performance analysis, including building supporting analysis tools. Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments. Experience developing and managing requirements using DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools; application of model-based and digital engineering practices. Experience evaluating radar or sensor systems using simulations to support verification & validation. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, interfacing with internal and external customers, and presenting technical results. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $95,500 – $181,700 USD.
