Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician (3rd Shift) - Kansas City Prepared Plant

Job Overview Join our team as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality at Tyson Foods. Responsibilities Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems. Document and calculate results accurately. Take corrective action when necessary, such as alerting personnel, isolating non‑conforming products, and reporting results to management. Handle additional assignments as requested. Shift & Schedule Shift: 3rd Shift – Sunday to Friday with Saturdays as needed to support operations. Generally 11:00PM – 7:30AM (flexible as needed). Compensation Pay: $29.90 per hour plus a shift differential. Eligible for overtime pay and paid weekly. Physical & Safety Requirements Involves lifting materials and products up to 75 pounds. Stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours per day. Work in cold, hot, and wet environments. Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing, and pulling. Reach high and low levels frequently and climb step ladders or stairs. Must be able to work overtime and on weekends. Position requires Lock Out Tag Out certification. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum 1 year of experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to identify and solve problems. Math and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret product specifications. Lead by example and motivate hourly workforce. Function well under stress and remain flexible to work where and when needed. Must reside in the United States (sponsorship not available).
