Master Quality Assurance Technician Master Quality Assurance Technician – Onsite, Cedar Rapids, IA The Master Quality Assurance Technician will support the engineering team during the development, qualification, and light run manufacturing of complex electronics. The position requires a high‑level understanding, a commitment to ethics and compliance, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities Support quality aspects of qualification planning and test Support documentation process for engineering product transition to production build Verify, document, and understand the process for obtaining Inspection, Test, and Final Acceptance Stamps for lab personnel Coordinate and support internal/external audit processes when applicable Own procedures, policies, and methods pertaining to Avionics Engineering Technical Services Use critical thinking to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions Conduct inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance Verify technical reports, developmental charts, graphs, and schematics that describe design deviations Self‑manage long-term project goals with minimal supervision Support factory transition of new products and ongoing support of legacy products Handle multiple actions and projects simultaneously, self‑prioritize as needed Read and understand product requirements to aid hardware integration and verification procedures Perform hardware tests on top-level units, card level, or complex devices (FPGA, microcontroller) Act as the go‑to quality authority in the department Support development of new and ongoing quality documentation Qualifications AA/AS degree (or other 2‑year post‑high‑school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience Certification may be required for technical support roles Experience in Modification Processing (E‑Mod, Flight Changes, R&H, Waivers, E‑ITR Records Recording & CRG processing) Experience with Top Level, Circuit Card, or Component Level Inspection and Build Proficiency in SAP and FIT for configuration recording (preferred) Mentor experience (preferred) Experience conducting Final Acceptance Inspections (preferred) Fluent in E‑modifications and Conformities (preferred) Fluent in Flight‑Changes (preferred) Current quality stamp holder (preferred) Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $66,800 – $127,200 USD Medical, dental, and vision insurance Three weeks of vacation for newly hired employees Generous 401(k) plan with employer matching and separate provider contribution Tuition reimbursement program Student loan repayment program Life insurance and disability coverage Optional coverages (pet insurance, home and auto insurance, additional life and accident insurance, critical illness insurance, group legal, ID theft protection) Birth, adoption, parental leave benefits Ovia Health, fertility, and family planning services Adoption assistance, autism benefit Employee assistance plan with up to 10 free counseling sessions Healthy You Incentives, wellness rewards program Doctor on Demand virtual doctor visits Bright Horizons child and elder care services Teladoc Medical Experts second opinion program And more… Equal Opportunity Employer RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
