From special orders to food safety standards, you’ll play a key role in creating a department guests trust and return to again and again. What You’ll Do: As a MeatClerk at Festival Foods, your responsibilities will include: Deliver Helpful Service: Provide exceptional guest service at the meat counter and on the sales floor, including fulfilling special orders and answering product questions. Maintain fresh, well-stocked displays by inspecting, rotating, and replenishing meat products and supplies. Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences. Collaborate with the Team: Perform other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For: To succeed as a Festival Foods Meat Clerk, you should have: Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively engage with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates. Utilize strong written and verbal skills to work with a crew in a fast-paced environment. Food Safety: A willingness to learn food safety standards, proper equipment usage (like slicers), and inventory practices. Ability to Multitask and stay customer service focused in a busy retail grocery environment. Safety Mindset: An understanding of safety and food safety practices and a commitment to following them. This role requires proper training and knowledge of equipment and procedures, including: slicers, proper lifting techniques, trash compactor, baler, etc. Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
